ArangoDB is an open-source, highly scalable Graph Database with multi-model capabilities. In addition to Graph, it is natively supporting a number of data models including document, and key-value, as well as full-text search and retrieval. It serves as the scalable backbone for Graph Analytics and complex data architectures across many different industries. Developers can build high-performance applications using a convenient SQL-like query language or JavaScript extensions. Oh, and did we mention it is open source?

To ensure we keep hitting our product quality goals with a growing team and product range we are looking for an experienced Senior QA Engineer with experience in test automation to develop test strategies, draw up and execute test plans, help automate testing further.

Our headquarter is in San Francisco (US), we have an office in Cologne (Germany), but most of our diverse team works remotely worldwide. Since the majority of the Engineering and QA team members are working from Central and Eastern Europe, candidates in this location & time zone are preferred. Your Role:

  • You create and organize effective test strategies and planning to ensure software quality for the ArangoDB product range
  • You create and execute test plans and clear, concise test automation scripts for new products and new features
  • You ensure the successful and timely deployment of products into the market
  • You actively collaborate with the Engineering teams and Product Management in improving the processes and overall product quality

Your Skills:

  • You bring multiple years of experience in manual and automated software testing to the table
  • You have strong knowledge of agile QA methodologies and the testing life cycle, along with test tools and testing best practices
  • You are skilled in at least one scripting or programming language (JavaScript, Python, Go e.g.)
  • You have advanced written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to manage projects
  • You enjoy working with developers in solving problems
  • And ideally a good understanding of distributed systems, databases, or infrastructure products
